Sometimes I sweat so much during a Tarot session that it feels like I’ve gone on a 5 mile walk. It’s not even that I strain or move around but my output of energy is significant, so I understand why many established healers have recently called me for a session, wanting to retire from their business. Doing this type of work can definitely take its toll.
This is why it is SO crucial for any psychic/Tarot reader and those who work with others to maintain both physical and mental health. Otherwise, there is a good chance you’ll be overweight, fried and tired all the time.
Want to be successful for more than a few years? Take care of your health from the start — and stay disciplined.
I’ve seen all kinds over the last 20 years. Unhealthy healers who dropped dead, plenty of healthy vegans, vegans who suffered from diabetes. Healthy meat eaters, overweight healers who were strong, overweight healers who suffered. Mentally unbalanced but physically healthy healers. Both physically and mentally unhealthy healers. Healers who clocked in and healers who were martyrs. Healer who were super-high vibration and kept themselves balanced. I remember my mentor telling me long ago that she had known far too many overweight, unhealthy readers who chain-smoked and drank soda all day long. They gossiped, were bitter and jealous of another’s success. It didn’t diminish their gift but their body took the hit.
Most — if not all — are dead now.
There is another way. Create and maintain a healthy body and mind as much as you practice money affirmations. Wealth = health.
I eat organic food, drink spring/filtered water, avoid alcohol for the most part, do not use a microwave, do not have social media accounts and sleep 8-9 hours a night. I live in a paradise of forest, wildflowers and cliffs. My clients often say how much they enjoy hearing birds sing along during sessions and Nature sustains me as I rest. There are many times after Tarot reads that I don’t want to prepare food from scratch, so I make it a point to cook/bake in bulk to freeze. Makes me certainly appreciate women before the evolution of processed foods who did this all the time for their families. It’s time-consuming but very meditative and satisfying.
Here are 6 protein-packed foods that regularly sustain me as a reader:
TAHINI. Why I ever bought jars of tahini, I’ll never know — but like the homemade laundry detergent from Martha Stewart, I’m glad these recipes find their way to me. Tahini is SO easy to make and faster than scrolling online or going to the grocery store. 2 cups of organic whole sesame (I prefer hulled) with a tiny bit of coconut oil in food processor makes 4 oz of raw tahini in minutes. Delicious, affordable and so versatile in meals, smoothies, salads and bread. I love making hummus, too. Super easy!
RAW VEGAN NUT/SEED BUTTERS. Pumpkin. Flax. Almond. Cashews - or any kind of nut/seed butter that you desire like peanut, hazelnut, sunflower, etc. I make them raw but they can also be toasted. Much more affordable, fresher than store-bought with no additives or packaging. Nut butters, especially peanut, can go rancid before it even reaches your table. Better to make it fresh at home.
HAMBURGER AND STEAK. Clean organic meat, medium rare, hot off the cast iron. I appreciate and always thank the cow for its sacrifice.
BANANA SMOOTHIES. I don’t eat peanut butter anymore but still load my smoothies with almonds or cashews. flax, various powders, goji or blueberry, chaga, hemp, coconut, etc. My smoothies power me up for many hours.
SPIRULINA ENERGY BALLS. The absolute easiest and best snack ever. This a random recipe; switch out any ingredient for whatever you desire. Spirulina is ridiculously good for my liver and overall energy.
ROASTED CABBAGE. Not a huge source of protein, per se — but the BEST addition to my meals. The nutritional benefits of cabbage are numerous and it is so versatile like cauliflower for meals. Love this recipe for roasted cabbage. I use olive oil and a ginger/salt/pepper mix with other spices. So yummy!
What kind of liquid do you use for smoothies? I know a lot of store-bought nut milks have a lot of "stuff" in them...
