1. Why do you think we found each other so “randomly” 15 years ago after I jammed my biz card into the door of your art gallery?
I think this question has many layers!
Reason #1 — The reason I got back to you is the fact that I knew you needed a reading and you needed confirmation about your soulmate — I described her to a T — and said that she is coming back. You didn’t believe me but she returned the following year after your mother died, which I also saw in the cards — but I only told you to go home to your mom, listen to her and take of care of her. I didn’t want to tell you about her passing because often people have accused me of bringing the energy of death to fruition. (Note: I gave Susan permission to relay this personal information.)
Reason #2 — Once I met you, I saw that you were extremely intelligent and talented and I saw in my cards that you were going to be a very famous person/personality, not only for your psychic gifts but also (and especially) your writing. It was so clear. At the time, you needed to be told and encouraged about this because you were floundering in life.
Reason #3 — We also have a lot in common: our love for animals, for instance. Our views on soulmates. I knew you “got” me when I read your cards and I never have to tell you twice. You are very perceptive and sensitive. There are very few people I let into my personal reading space and you are one of them, Raven.
Past lives abound — we have been nuns, courtesans, friend (mainly friends together!) over many, many lifetimes.
2. What is the greatest misconception that people have about Tarot?
That is aligned with the devil.
In my personal experience, how can something that I have used as a tool for over 50 years to divine disease, betrayal, soulmates, reconnections, animal communications, etc, be evil? All of these things and more I foretell on a daily basis through my Tarot cards.
The devil is what people make it. How they create it in themselves. It’s a dark energy within ourselves or another person. We can all be the devil because we inherit this dark energy through the ages from certain ancestors who indulged in evil, every lifetime, and we have to decide what we do with it in ourselves. As we become enlightened, we decide who to honor and not honor in our lineage.
I cannot tell you in my many decades of reading the cards how many clients/people I’ve saved from suicide (recently, some have sadly succumbed). Saved from a false diagnosis, a divorce, etc. Through the cards, I have encouraged future film stars, famous baseball stars, millionaire entrepreneurs and more.
The Tarot is a very powerful, positive form of divination using forewarning, not foreboding.
Have I seen the devil in the Tarot cards? Sure. But it’s usually due to the fault of human nature, not the underworld — which does exist. Again, I have stated that I’m not afraid of any of this — good and bad, dark vs. light. I have seen evil spirits in people’s cards. I was also able to decipher through the cards how to get rid of them.
Sometimes my clients don’t want to relinquish the devil. I respect that. It is their choice.
I do not judge but it is also my choice to not read them. I learned that early on in my career that one doesn’t judge the reading.
One interprets, one guides but one doesn’t judge. That’s what makes a great Tarot reader.
However, if a querent/client oversteps their boundaries with me by bringing the devil to the reading on purpose, that is something I do not tolerate and will refuse to continue the session. I shut them down as I do not tolerate negative energy of any kind.
