I’ve spent my career attempting to dissuade people of three common thoughts about Tarot and psychic readings.
A reader does not “tell the future” because you create your future.
At least, the one in front of you right now. You might change your mind 5 minutes later, like choosing coffee over tea. Thoughts are more powerful than we realize.
Psychics are not special because we are all part of universal consciousness.
Consider intuitives like me extra sensitive on the spectrum of feeling. Ideally, we’re as normal as you, unless you want a show.
How much any of us want to feel is up to us.
It can be a tough world for sensitive people. That’s the point of being here. To FEEL, no matter what — and not continue to be entrenched in the false belief that we are disconnected.
Yet clients still press to know their “future”. I get it. Curiosity, control, fear of death and avoidance of pain. Like recent movies regarding parallel lives/universes, we learn that there are innumerable outcomes with many different personalities and relationships. Seems to be the hot thing now! The unity of all.
Tarot is a similar energy. I tune into the strongest energy of the moment and connect with a potential you. I see that you but it doesn’t preclude the other yous.
Easy, right?
The symbols and colors of the Tarot help me connect in a session — but it’s good to remember that they are just 78 pieces of pretty art. There is nothing inherently evil or good about them. They are simply a tool to utilize.
It’s you who sends me the signal and I pick up on clues that you may not see — then give my opinion for you to consider.
That doesn’t mean I tell your future, nor would I dare take away your power in creating that future. I’m simply a guide you hire to help clear the weeds or navigate tricky waters, while offering suggestions that may help as you consider the next steps.
They are suggestions. Opinions to ponder or discard. None of it is written in stone because even stones are moving particles.
Tarot doesn’t tell the future or take away the substantial mystery of life. There are many, many futures!
